ALT's Square Recessed Light Wins Double Crown at Lighting Fair 2014-10-30
Taiwan’s high-power LED lighting giant Aeon Lighting Technology (ALT) participated in the 2014 Hong Kong International Autumn Lighting Fair, Asia's largest lighting event, showcasing industry-leading LED lighting innovations that combine both brightness and functionality. Among the most notable products was the Uniqube square recessed light series, which won the "Most Popular Product Award" in the Architecture/Commercial Lighting category and the Eco Design Award for eco-friendly design.
The award-winning series is distinguished by its unique, elegant frame design, which emits a subtle, nebula-like visual effect that captivates viewers. Featuring ALT’s patented fin design for effective heat dissipation, the 6-inch recessed light has a power rating of 46 watts, producing 6,000 lumens. With a luminous efficacy of 130 lumens per watt, it outperforms conventional round LED recessed lights available on the market, offering 30% to 50% higher efficiency than similar products. This significant improvement enhances both the quality and versatility of recessed lights, earning the "Most Popular Product Award" as the overall champion in all categories, as well as the Eco Design Award.
ALT Technology CEO Mr. Liang Jian-guo remarked that the Uniqube square recessed light series represents ALT’s commitment to both design aesthetics and performance. He emphasized that ALT aims to create products with long lifespans that enhance the quality of interior decor.
In addition to the recessed light series, ALT Technology introduced several new products at the Hong Kong Autumn Lighting Fair: the T500 LED streetlight, the brightest in the market, which can replace 2.5 high-pressure sodium lights and is ideal for applications above 40 meters. In response to the growing demand for color rendering, ALT has been promoting high color rendering index (CRI) lighting since last year. The company now offers an entire series of high CRI products, including MR16, PAR lights, and updated T8 tubes, recessed lights, and large streetlights with a CRI of 90 or above.
Additionally, ALT presented lighting applications featuring the latest chips from major manufacturers, including CREE XP-L, CREE CXA 1510, Lumileds CoB 1203, and Osram Square (4,000K, CRI95). These new chips offer a 30% to 40% increase in brightness for CREE products, while Lumileds and Osram maintain brightness without sacrificing color rendering performance. Combined with ALT’s patented heat dissipation and structural designs, these new chips unleash their full potential, reinforcing ALT Technology's position as a leader in LED lighting applications.
