Organized by the world-renowned iF Design Award, M Technology Award was founded since 2007 in Germany, honoring products from outstanding international suppliers. In 2009, the award ceremony took place at the opening of ZOW on October 21st in Verona, Italy. ALT not only won two M Technology Awards for excellence of design this year, but also became the first Asian company to win this world-renowned award.

In 2010, ALT showed once more its outstanding performance and excellent design out of 2,489 entries from 39 countries  by winning this award. Presented by Hannover-based International Forum Design GmbH, the iF Product Design Award is one of the world's most prestigious design awards. Known as the “Design Oscar,” the panel evaluates each entry’s design quality, finish, choice of materials, degree of innovation, environmental impact, functionality, ergonomics, visualization of intended use, safety, brand value, and universal design.

Established in 1955, Germany Red Dot Design Award is one of the most honorable design awards in the world, paralleled with Germany iF Award, M Technology Award, American IDEA Award, and Japanese Good Design Award. The evaluation criteria are including creativity, function, ergonomics, eco-awareness, safety, and brand value. All criteria have to be top class in the world and to fulfill consumers’ high standard requirement in order to win this prize.

ALT has won the Good Design Award in 2012, it is an achievement that makes ALT stand out from more than 3000 competitors, making it one of the rare few Taiwan-based LED manufacturers that has managed this feat.  The Good Design Award (G-mark) was originally created in 1957. It has become one of the most authoritative and influential design awards in the world. It is the most prominent and creditable consumer index in Japan, used in over 80% of the Japanese market.  According to judges, the LED device manages to combine outstanding craftsmanship when it comes to both functionality and design—a feat very few companies in the LED lighting industry have managed to achieve.

Winner of the 2012 Australian Timber Design Awards, Candlebark School Library is an earth-covered library built into the side of a hill in Victoria's Macedon Ranges. Architect Paul Haar, a self-employed and sole-practicing architect based in Melbourne, was the designer of this building. His business focus has been on environmentally sustainable design and the revitalization of a community-based housing culture with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in remote parts of northern Australia.

Taiwan’s High Powered LED illumination company, Aeon Lighting Technology (ALT), is set out to attend Asia’s biggest light fair - the 16^th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn). For the first time, ALT will be stationed in the Hall of Aurora, a hall that rounds up all other well-known international lighting companies. To prepare for this event, ALT will be combining its top LED technologies and innovations, in hopes of solidifying its niche in the upper class market where quality is valued above all.
