ALT High-Brightness LED Lights Achieve North American ETL Certification 2014-08-15

Taiwanese high-power LED lighting manufacturer ALT announced that its F04 high-brightness lighting fixtures have successfully passed North American ETL certification, including models F04T200 and F04T300. As a subsidiary of the world’s fourth-largest industrial server supplier, ALT has invested heavily in the development of LED lighting power systems and patented heat-sink fin technology. The LED lighting products designed and manufactured by ALT are renowned for their superior quality, with all products meeting international safety standards.

The recently ETL-certified high-brightness LED lighting fixtures, rated at 200 and 300 watts, are designed to replace traditional mercury lamps consuming 600 to 1000 watts. While 200-300 watt LED lighting products are not uncommon on the market, many suffer from high failure rates due to inadequate thermal management. High-wattage LED products require exceptional heat dissipation and power system design to ensure product longevity. This market segment also demands superior quality, as such fixtures are often installed in elevated locations, such as 45-meter high poles. When a fixture fails, the cost of removal and repair can exceed the cost of the product itself.

What is ETL Certification?

ETL stands for Electrical Testing Laboratories, founded in 1896 by the renowned inventor Thomas Edison. ETL is highly respected in the U.S. and globally. Achieving ETL certification signifies that a product meets the safety standards of the United States and Canada. It also means the manufacturing facility agrees to rigorous periodic inspections to ensure consistent product quality. Products with ETL certification can be sold in both the U.S. and Canadian markets. In contrast, many low-cost, unbranded LED lights from mainland China fail to meet these standards, posing safety and reliability concerns.

ALT has always prioritized stable quality and safety across its LED lighting product lines. The successful ETL certification of the F04 200W and 300W lighting fixtures is a testament to ALT's dedication to product excellence and its commitment to ensuring end-user safety.
